Challenge #5 pg. 293

Well in the past five years I have seen a lot of films, some of which have been really good and others not so great. When I think about the best film I have seen in the past five years, the first one that comes into my mind is Radio. Why is this film one of the best ones that I have seen? First of all this move has a great message behind it that teaches us a valuable lesson on how we should treat others. It also is a very inspiring film that makes you want to be a better person. I remember when I left the theater after watching this film feeling very satisfied and uplifted. There are some certain aspects that make a film a good film. Some of these would have to be the over all message and story of the film, acting also plays a very important part, and the plot helps to determine the final outcome of the film. The acting in this film is phenomenal, Cuba Gooding Jr. plays the main character who is mentally challenged and he does a fantastic job portraying this character called Radio. What also makes this film even more appealing is the fact that it is based on a true story of a football coach who befriends a student in need. It is one of those films that will bring tears to your eyes as you see how the main character Radio makes an overwhelming positive impact on a little community. This is a movie that you can see over and over and never get tired of it, that is why it is one of the best films I have seen in the last five years and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen it yet.
